ADOS-2 Assessments

Focus provides various supports to help parents navigate the process of understanding their child’s needs and autism, such as providing literature and resources, screening tools and ADOS-2 assessments that can be reviewed by treating physicians.

About ADOS-2

The ADOS-2, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition, is a semi-structured, standardized assessment instrument allowing to accurately assess autism spectrum disorders across age (young children to adults), developmental level, and language skills. The assessment includes a variety of play-based activities offering a fun and naturalistic setting. These activities are designed to obtain and score information in the areas of communication, social interactions, and restricted and repetitive behaviors associated with a diagnosis of ASD. The assessment takes approximately 45-60 minutes. After completion, the clinician will complete the scoring process, summarize results and send the report to the doctor for use in diagnostic determination.
